You can find out more about our committees below. Anyone is welcome to join any committee or as many as they would like.

Architectural Review Committee (ARC)

The purpose of ARC is to promote quality, harmony, and conformity throughout our neighborhood by ensuring that all modification requests conform to the rules set forth in the Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions section of the Declarations. Members of ARC are to:

  1. Continually review and provide approval decisions on homeowner plans submitted for home improvement projects.
  2.  Provide the Association Manager a timely response in writing.
  3. Monitor and report any possible infractions to the Association Manager.
  4. Report activities to the Board of Directors.

Neighborhood Safety Team

The purpose of the Neighborhood Safety Team is responsible for safety concerns in the neighborhood. This committee (served by 6 neighbors) works closely with the Board of Directors and local authorities to ensure that our neighborhood remains safe. The Committee meets monthly with Block Captains and other leaders. Joint meetings occur four times a year and are announced via Newsletter, Neighborhood Signage, Social Media, and other forms of communication.

Neighborhood Matching Grants

The City of Charlotte has established a program that allows neighborhoods to apply for grants to assist with neighborhood improvement projects. These grants are awarded three times a year by the City and must meet the following guidelines:

  • Volunteer hours must equate to the amount of money being utilized on a project. For example, if we use $500 to build a dog park at $25/volunteer hour for four hours with five volunteers, that would cover the cost).
  • Unfortunately, we cannot receive hourly credit for individuals that live in Cabarrus County or the Town of Harrisburg; however, if you wish to volunteer, we would be more than happy to have you.

Some ideas:

  • Dog Park
  • Street Sign Toppers
  • Recreational Space (Such as goal posts for soccer/football) and other recreational sports.

Pool Committee

The Pool Committee was established to ensure both a fun and safe time at our pool facilities. Some of the responsibilities of this committee will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that pool rules are followed.
  • Ensuring that the area around the pool is up to neighborhood standards.
  • Assist in conducting end of year review of the pool company.
  • Make end-of-year recommendations in conjunction with the Board to the pool company and/or make recommendations for improvements to the Board.
  • Ensure that restrooms are cleaned and properly maintained when visiting the facilities.
  • Report any unsafe conditions to Pool Attendant, Pool Manager, Management Company and Board of Directors.

Social Committee

Our Social Committee is responsible for the various events that take place throughout the Neighborhood. Last years End of Summer Pool Party and this year’s Luau Party were planned by the neighbors that serve on this committee. The Social Committee works directly with the Board in terms of funding and planning.
